Over the past 2 months I have noticed a pattern with my adsence income from my blogs. I have been using adsence for 2 years now and I have just recently decided to track all of my click through rates and income from them, I have learned two very important lessons from this. First, I always have more people click the ads and visit the website from original content. If you have noticed 90% of what I publish isn't my content. I still plan on publishing others people's content, but I will always find new ways to integrate ads inside my content. As long as it doesn't take away from the content. Second, every time I publish content there will be a few more dollars in my adsence account. I know this make sense, but there is something else I discovered. The days that there is published more then one post there is a higher viewing rate of by posts. The adsence amount doesn't seem to change from a 5 post day to a 1 post day, I still need to spend some time to figure this out. Everyday that there is published more then one post there is a jump in the website visits and blog views. I believe this is because out of the 5 posts that are published someone will scroll through and maybe one of them will grab there attention. They are faced with a different choice now. Instead of "should I view this post?" the viewer is now thinking "which post should I view?" This system has worked for me. Let me know if it works for you.

I feel that private label rights is going to become a more popular trend in the future. Private label rights (also known as PLR)

is a way that you buy a product in it’s raw stage and modify the content and turn it into your own. Below is a video that stats 8 different ways you can make money with PLR, but I want to point out 2 different types of PLR.

First, you buy content from someone and they give you the right to resell that ebook or article. You have to remember that your not the only person this content will be sold to for the purpose of resale. So what are you going to do to make this original content? If it is a ebook, you can reformat the book and give it a new look and feel. Then add content, not just more words but pictures, a table of contents, glossary, a link page to other resources and affiliate programs of yours.

Second, produce your own content and offer private label rights. To get people excited you might only offer 5 resell rights and sell the PLR for top dollar to the 5 lucky people. You could get your product translated into a different language. If you don't know someone who speaks Spanish (for example) you can always find freelance people to do it. If I were to get a information product of mine translated I would find at least 2 people to work on it. One to translate and one to check over the work.

If the PLR trend gets more popular, over time expect to see a flood of the same content. Try to make your PLR your own. Always remember that someone will always try to sell the same content cheaper.

YouTube - My main income stream went off line

My main stream of income comes from a site that is full of YouTube videos. I noticed one evening that the money wasn't coming in at all so I decided to investigate. Upon my arrival at YouTube.com I was viewing a white screen with the simple phrase "Service Unavailable". I was shocked to say the least. My main stream of income was unavailable and no explanation of why. Luckily the site was down for only around 6 hours and most of that time was through the night. I can say that I learned an important lesson in all this. I even asked myself some questions.
First, I didn't have a backup plan. What if the server totally died? It could take weeks to get up and running again.
Second - Should I strengthen my other streams of income?
Third - Should I offer more then just video content?
Forth - Should I switch my video host?

I believe Youtube is the best video hosting site out there. I want to thank them for all the work that they do. From the lesson I learned, there is some steps I should take to prevent any future problems. I will be hosting my videos at another video hosting site, this will be a backup incase YouTube goes down for a long period of time. I do have my online focuses for my income. With that said, there is always room for improvement thought all my online income endeavors. I will now be putting in more time to grow and develop multiple streams of income.

I do depend on Google for almost all my online work. (Blogger, Adsense, FeedBurner, Analytics, Alerts) It is not just my video hosting that I should be developing backup strategies for. If one of those elements goes down I have no backup plan in place. Wow, I am scaring myself just writing this post. I am going to start my backup plan. Let me know what you do.

I wanted to use the strategies that were taught right away, but here is this post first. I hope that everyone will understand why I made this picture a little blurry. It does have personal information included. Here you see is my 3rd check from Google Adsense. I guess I'll tell you a little back ground about my self and how I received this check. In 2004 I went to a audio recording school, I love to write and record music. After graduating from there I got a job at a recording studio and started there recording podcasts. "What's a podcast?" I thought when I first got the job. Over the next few months I learned a lot about the power of podcasting and how to market it online with social marketing. So, Audio recording got me into podcasting. Podcasting got me into online marketing, online marketing got me into social and niche marketing. I decided to use everything I learned and produced a website that became a huge resource of free information about audio recording and podcasting. I now receive 600 - 1200 unique visits a day to this site. I do not have a huge overload of advertisements, but I do have Google Adsence across the website that produces me a small income. All I do know is add other peoples content from YouTube to my blog (mostly) everyday and one of these checks show up every 2-3 months. It took a lot of time to set up but now it is very little work to maintain and the money keeps on coming in.

Do you have Google Adsense? Here is another video about optimization and how to place them. A lot of people use Google for income, but are adsense for you? If you sign up for an account you are asked to only have 3 ads per page. When I go to some websites I see 3 large ads on every page of a website. One thing that you should consider with adsense is that they will take away attention from your website in 2 ways. First they take up real estate. Do you want people view your products and content or someone else's. Second, if someone clicks an ad they are then taken away from your website and the browser will then load a new one from the ad. Let just say you had a website that sells products you have produced. Do you want people clicking other peoples ads, you get 50 cents and they get a sale?

If I make many posts about Adsense I'm sure that the information in them will over lap. This video is a reading of an ebook that gives 5 steps that you should follow with your adsense and web page. The first step is the blend your ads into your site. This means to have similar colors in the ad that are found on the website. This is a great tip but I have seen a video in the past that used the phrase "ad Blindness." People might not even see your ads because they fit into your website too well. How can this be avoided? There is no "set in stone" way, but you might want to try a boarder around the ad, or make just the title of the ad a different color.
